--CF Franklin Gutierrez is fighting a minor eye infection. After being out of the lineup on Saturday, however, he was back in center field on Sunday.

--RHP Carlos Silva had just one win in his previous 27 starts before getting the victory Saturday in Anaheim. He allowed the Angels three runs in five innings despite experiencing some minor shoulder problems. He said the discomfort cropped up when he was warming up before the game.

--C Kenji Johjima is hitting and throwing on the side and should be ready to come off the disabled list on or about Friday, the first day he's eligible. Johjima has been battling right hamstring problems and is starting to do some running in preparation for his return to active status.

--RF Ichiro Suzuki had his streak of consecutive multiple-hit games end at four Sunday in Anaheim. He had one hit, a bunt single, and his average sits at .333, a good sign for both he and the Mariners, because April is the only month in which his career average was under .300 coming into the season (.294).

RHP Brandon Morrow (right shoulder stiffness) was unavailable April 25-26.

1B Mike Sweeney (back spasm) left the April 22 game, and he didn't play April 23. He returned April 24.

INF Ronny Cedeno (strained right hamstring) was out of the lineup April 23-25. He is day-to-day.

C Kenji Johjima (strained right hamstring) went on the 15-day disabled list April 16. He might start running in late April.

LHP Ryan Rowland-Smith (left triceps tendinitis) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 11.

LHP Cesar Jimenez (left biceps tendinitis) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 29. He began a rehab assignment with Class AAA Tacoma on April 24.

LHP Ryan Feierabend (Tommy John elbow surgery in March 2009) went on the 60-day disabled list March 16.

LHP Tyler Johnson (left shoulder surgery in May 2008) started the season in the minors. He will pitch in extended spring training in late April.

RHP Chad Cordero (right shoulder surgery in July 2008) signed a minor league deal with the Mariners during the spring, and he wasn't ready for opening day. He will pitch in extended spring training in late April.
